Osprey Fit & Size Guide

Osprey packs are known for their outstanding comfort and custom fit. The Farpoint backpack has been specifically designed to fit the male torso and is available in 2 back sizes. The Fairview is the same, but for women. We recommend following the below guide, and having someone assist you with the measuring before choosing your backpack size. If you have any questions, please get in touch.

This measurement starts at the iliac crest, which is the top of your hipbone on the side of your body that acts like a shelf. From this point, measure to the C7 vertebra, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down. Reference the torso length below to match the correct pack size.

Women's Specific Fit

The design of the Fairview has been optimised to be a narrower fit with depth added in areas suitable for load bearing. The shoulder harness, hip belt, sternum and strap have all been constructed in a manner to optimise the anatomical fit for women and transfer the bulk of the load to the strongest points, the hip belt and sternum strap are key support areas on the women's packs.
