Every parent of small children knows that even thinking about how to navigate the airport is stressful, let alone actually doing it. The Mountain Buggy Bagrider Cabin Suitcase with child carrier is a break through product that solves one of the biggest problems of travelling with kids, checking the pram in and trying to manage bubs or toddler wrangle with your carry-on gear.
Suitable for children aged 9 months (or when they can sit unaided) to 3 years/max 15kg, the child is secured in a soft but comfortable seat with 5-point safety harness. The child is centred between the wheels so the centre of gravity is very balanced, and the bag itself is as stable as a travel pram. Rear wheels and stabiliser bar unfold from the rear of the case, and the case locks into ‘baby mode’ and ‘regular mode’.
As a cabin suitcase, the case is made from strong yet lightweight nylon poly and offers a generous 35 litres packing space. The case opens through the middle and has packing straps in the base, a zipped fabric divider and a small mesh pocket.
The child seat stores inside the suitcase then attaches to the trolley handle when needed. It is a simple and quick attachment and the harness can be adjusted to suit your child’s size.
Whilst this product is actually very affordable to purchase, typically parents may only need to use it once or twice whilst their kids are in this age bracket, making hiring it a terrific solution as there is no need to store it for years for a couple of weeks of use.

Booking Windows: Available to rent for 1 week, 2 weeks or 1 month (28 days). Delivery takes place 1 business day before your booking commences and collection is the next business day after the last day of your booking window.
Please allow time for packing and unpacking in your booking.
Bag Tracking: This bag has been labelled with a unique code and The Luggage Collective's contact details; in the event that the bag gets lost and we are contacted we will help reunite you with your bag.
Delivery We use Couriers Please or similar for same or next day shipping in Sydney & Melbourne. Shipping is $9.95 per large box*, and includes delivery to you and return shipping to us. Your rental items will arrive to you in one or more boxes with cloth covers. Please keep the cloth covers and boxes so you can repackage and return. Purchased accessories will be packed inside your luggage *We pack everything inside the largest suitcase you rent, additional $9.95 charges apply only if you order multiple large suitcases.
Drop Off Your items will be booked to arrive one business day PRIOR to your booking start date. Couriers are reliable 90% of the time if the receiver is there for delivery (or authority to leave in a safe place). Our experience has shown if you are not home for delivery or there is no ATL, this can cause delays as your items are sent back to warehouses with re-delivery attempts. We recommend organising delivery to your work or a neighbour’s place if you are unlikely to be there or if there is no safe place for Authority to Leave. If your booking start date is on the weekend or Monday, your scheduled arrival will be Friday.
Return Your rental items return is pre-booked and free with collection the next business day after the end of your rental period. Please have the items emptied, tidied (travel labels removed and all personal belongings emptied), put the cloth covers back on and re-box using the tape provided. Attach your shipping labels and leave out for our couriers to collect. We take care of cleaning so you don’t need to worry. If your booking ends on a Friday or Saturday, collection will be Monday. Please ensure you are organised and have the packages ready with labels attached the morning of the booked collection date. If our couriers are unable to take the package, you will be charged a $9.95 re-delivery fee in addition to late fees.
Late returns In the unlikely event that you returned your rental item back late, you will incur late fees. Please see FAQs for more details. If your travel plans change, or you are delayed, please refer to the contact details provided with the case and we will change your booking details accordingly. You will be charged the normal rental fees if we have more than 24 hours’ notice. If less than 24 hours’ notice, late fees will apply. Please read our FAQ’s for more details.
Warranty This bag is covered by a manufacturers warranty which covers manufacturer's defects. We will process and manage all warranty claims.
Wear & Tear Due to the nature of travel, wear and tear to the bags is unavoidable and expected. Wear and tear includes marks or scuffs to the outside of the case; wear that does not impact the function of the case and minimal colour transferance or marking on the interior.
Reporting Damage You will receive an information booklet inside your case with what to do and who to contact in case of damage, including airline damage. Please leave this booklet in the case whilst travelling and refer to it if needed. If your bag arrives to you damaged, please contact us within 8 hours to report it so we can take the correct steps. Please report damage even if you can still use the bag, if the damage is not reported we will automatically revert to our damage cover policy in which you may incur charges.
Damage Cover We offer $150 accidental damage cover for $4.95 per bag at check out. This means any damage to the bag caused by you (for example broken parts, spills or uncleanble odours) is covered, we will take care of the repairs. If the damage exceeds $150 or the bag needs replacing, $150 of the cost is covered and you will be liable for any remaining moneys. If you choose not to purchase damage cover, the maximum amount charged in the instance of accidental damage is market value of the bag plus a $20 admin fee, you will also get to keep the bag.
Lost or Stolen Bags If your bags become lost or stolen please work with the airlines or responsible parties to relocate the bags. Please also advise us ASAP, we will alter your booking accordingly and offer extensions at the rental price rather than charging late fees if we are notified more than 24 hours before the end of your booking period. In the case of lost or stolen bags (no return) we will charge you the market value of the bag and issue a tax invoice. This will then be able to be claimed through your travel insurance.
